The project company of Wanda’s Xishuangbanna International Resort has decided to adopt the energy dissipation device for its planned hospital.

The AAA hospital, the first hospital designed and constructed by Wanda Group, is expected to improve the medical treatment for residents in and nearby Xishuangbanna, an autonomous prefecture in Southwest China’s Yunnan Province. It has the only tropical forest nature reserve in the country.

However, the Sichuan-Yunnan region is one of the areas, where earthquake activity is strongest in the intra continent of China, and strong earthquake have occurred frequently in the recent years.

The energy dissipation device is an approach for controlling seismic damage in buildings and improving their seismic performance.

With an investment of 15 billion yuan, Xishuangbanna International Resort will be completed in 2015. The resort occupies a land area of 6 sq km and houses 7 functional parts: a theme park, a sports park, 5-star hotels, a theatre, a commercial center, a hospital and a new tourism town.
